This situation highlighted the important role public infrastructure plays in our daily lives—especially water infrastructure. Jennifer Perkins, our senior government industry specialist, told The Center Square that one possible solution to this problem would be to implement requirements around inventory and long-term planning for infrastructure managers to help identify upgrades and replacements to ensure safe drinking water.
