MELBOURNE - 23 September 2024

Brightly, a Siemens company, and a global leader in intelligent asset management solutions, announces its first contract with a sporting body, partnering with the Australian Sports Commission (ASC), the Australian Government agency responsible for supporting and investing in sport at all levels.

The contract is part of a three-year deal where Brightly will support the ASC, through a new Asset Management Information System (AMIS) to manage its portfolio of assets inclusive of accommodation, sporting venues and training facilities.

Brightly will work closely with the ASC to implement tailored asset management systems and strategies that will extend the lifespan of the ASC’s infrastructure, including the AIS campus in Canberra, while ensuring it meets the demands of the nation's top athletes, coaches and support staff. With its holistic approach to asset management, Brightly will provide the ASC with the financial modelling to effectively plan where budget should be allocated and when for optimal results.

Brightly’s Principal Asset Management Consultant Renuka Ranaweera said, “We are excited to begin our collaboration with the ASC at this pivotal time. We are committed to implementing a system that enables efficient and sustainable management of its asset base, in a challenging economic climate.
We understand the critical role that infrastructure plays in developing the world class athletes that make us proud on the global stage. Our goal is to support the ASC through tools and insights in its mission to provide opportunities for all communities, while facilitating maximum support for elite athletes to achieve their potential and inspire future generations.”

The partnership marks a significant milestone for Brightly as it extends its proven expertise in managing complex asset portfolios to the sporting sector. The agreement signals Brightly’s ongoing expansion, where the global business grows its offerings and impact across Australia.

Brightly’s General Manager, APAC, Blake Gordon said, "Off the back of incredible performances at the recent Paris games, the country now sets its sights on the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Sport unites us as a nation, and we are known for punching above our weight. But that takes years of dedication from our athletes, backed by the best in coaching, support and facilities. This partnership presents an unparalleled opportunity to ensure the ASC’s infrastructure is not only well maintained, but also optimised and future-proofed for the next decade and beyond.”

As a growing market leader in end-to-end asset management solutions for all levels of government, this partnership represents a new chapter for Brightly as we continue to expand our footprint across Australia. We are proud to partner with the ASC as it seeks to optimise and maintain its world-class sports infrastructure.”

With over twenty years in business, and backed by global technology giant Siemens, Brightly brings a wealth of experience in managing infrastructure assets across a diverse range of sectors, including government-funded projects, private enterprise, and public bodies.
