Brightly partners with Mildura Rural City Council, strengthening presence in Victoria

3 minutes

MELBOURNE - 15 August 2024 Brightly, a Siemens company and the global leader in enterprise asset management solutions, announces new partnership with leading regional hub, Mildura Rural City Council.

The partnership will deliver Brightly Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Strategic Asset Management (SAM) solutions. With over 50 Victorian Local Government Councils utilising its solutions and services across SAM and/or EAM, Mildura is the latest council to partner with Brightly.

As a key regional hub in Victoria, Mildura provides services and infrastructure to almost 40,000 Australians. This new partnership will support the councils objectives by delivering an end-to-end solution that will provide better maintenance systems for existing infrastructure assets, greater mobility for council workers when working offsite, along with accurate asset accounting and valuation capabilities to plan for the future.

Delivering savings and efficiencies

The council was seeking to modernise systems and consolidate data to understand the lifecycle of assets more holistically as the community continues to grow. By partnering with Brightly the council can now proactively look at their customer request processing to deliver faster, improved outcomes by creating greater efficiencies in operations. Less steps, less time, ultimately delivers greater efficiencies and better outcomes for the community.

Integration trade off – no longer an issue

A key component to the partnership with Brightly was its ability to integrate with existing systems allowing councils the choice. Councils no longer need to be locked into one Enterprise resource planning (ERP) vendor exclusively. Brightly delivers a best-in-class solution geared for Local Government and the opportunity for Council to elect what point solutions it seeks to integrate with. Ultimately offering a seamless experience with existing systems to work hand in glove with the council and its community reaping the tangible benefits of a cohesive streamlined experience.

Adopting a strategic approach reduces risk of budget blowout

As council budgets continue to be stretched, engaging a strategic asset management approach allows funding to be allocated to the right assets at the right time. Adopting a standardised, systematic approach around asset related decision supports both the engineering and accounting teams outcomes.

Brightly’s Senior Sales Executive for Local Government ANZ, Jim Apostolovski says, “We are delighted to announce our partnership with Mildura Rural City Council as it continues to evolve and modernise. We are committed to deliver our best-in-class solutions to enable Mildura to improve efficiencies, accurately plan for future spending and ultimately create a more sustainable model for the Council.”

Brightly’s General Manager, APAC, Blake Gordon said, “Brightly is a global leader in intelligent asset management solutions and we are excited to partner with the Mildura Rural City Council to share our expertise as the council evolves and modernises. This partnership is a significant milestone for our business, aligning with our local growth ambitions. Together, we can deliver smarter solutions that benefit both the council and its communities.”
